CLASS 2003 - Youth All Breeds  Heifer Show

  - Open to all youth, including members of 4-H, FFA and the Junior Cattle Breed Associations.

  - Entry fee is $15 per animal.  If an exhibitor has more than one animal in a class, additional animals must be shown by another junior exhibitor.

  - Entry dead line is Friday, January 16, 2009.  Late entries will be accepted with a late fee of $10.00 per entry.

  - Judging will begin immediately following the steer show.

  - This show is open to both  registered and commercial heifer calves (coming yearlings ) born after January 1, 2008 and yearlings (coming 2-year-olds who have not calved) born after January 1, 2007.  Regitration papers will not be required for this show.

  - The entry fee will be splilt with $10.00 being jack-potted back to the exhibitors in each class and the $5.00 remaining with the organizers of the Winter Fair.  Payment in each class will be based on a sliding scale based on the number of entries in a class.

  - Heifers  will be split into classes based on birth date; all breeds will show together and splits will be made so that class sizes are equal as possible.  Class breaks  will be posted prior to the beginning of the show.  Heifers must be checked  in prior to 10 AM on Sunday, January 25, 2009

   - In addition to the jackpot money in each class, the Grand  Champion heifer will receive a cash prize of $150; the Reserve Grand Champion heifer will receive a cash prize of $100.

  - Stalling will be available Saturday. The wash rack may or may not be available for use depending on the weather.  Please call the fairgrounds at 406-538-8841 or 800-406-8841 to check on wash rack availability.

Showmanship entries will be taken on show day.
