CLASS 2001 - Youth Feeder Steer Show
- Open to all youth who are members of 4-H, FFA or Junior Cattle Breed Associations. - Entry fee is $20 per animal. If an exhibitor has more than one animal in a class, additional animals must be shown by another junior exhibitor. - Entry deadline is Friday, January 16, 2009. Late entries will be accepted with a late fee of $10.00 per entry. - Judging will begin at 1 PM on Sunday, January 25, 2009. - This show is open to any steer calf born after January 1, 2008. There will be no breed designation within the classes. - The entry fee will be split with $15.00 being jackpotted back to the exhibitors in each class and $5.00 remaining with the organizers of the Winter Fair. Payment in each class will be based on a sliding scale based on the number of entries in a class. - Steers will be split into classes according to hip height. Hip heights will be taken by the same person and through the same chute. Class breaks will be posted prior to the beginning of the show. Steers must be checked in prior to 10 AM on Sunday, January 25, 2009. - In addition to the jackpot money in each class, the Grand Champion Steer will receive a cash prize of $250; the Reserve Grand Champion will receive a cash prize of $150. - Stalling will be available Saturday night for those arriving early. The wash rack may or may not be available for use depending on the weather. Please call the fairgrounds at 406-538-8841 or 800-406-8841 to check on wash rack availability. Showmanship entries will be taken on show day.
