Entry Deadlines: All livestock intent to show entries must be received or postmarked no later than January 18, 2008. No stall guarantee on post entries. Send pen/stall entry along with check payable to the Montana Winter Fair to: , Lewistown, MT 59457 Accepting Entries: The management reserves the right to accept or reject, entirely, partially or conditionally, any entry or application. The managment also reserves the right, either personally or by committee, to inspect all entries after they have arrived and dismiss any entries that would discredit the Montana Winter Fair. Returned Checks: Any exhibitor issuing a check for payment of entry, stalls or passes with does not clear their account for any reason will be assessed $20.00 on all returned checks. Registration: Upon arrival at the Montana Winter Fair all exhibitors are to report to the Montana Winter Fair office at which time all packets containing exibitor numbers and stall assignments will be handed out. Stalls: The assignment of stalls will be made by the superintendent and show managment. Livestock exhibitors may put signs over their display on the wall. Free standing signs will be allowed providing they do not extend into the aisle or into another exhibit. No electrical signs will be allowed in the barns. Any animal found out of its assigned stall may be removed from the grounds, unless permission has been granted by the barn superintendent. No overnight tie-outs allowed. Arrival & Departure: Please see individual divisions for specific times of arrival and departure. Early arrivals will be allowed with prior approval depending on space available. Animals must stay for the full duration as scheduled. Exhibitors must keep their livestock and/or exhibit in place until specified realease time unless a superintendent authorized early release. Any exhibitor removing his/her animals early without superintendent authorization will reult in forfeiture of premium money. Livestock Bedding: The fair management will supply the original bedding for livestock exhibits in the barn. Sawdust will be the only bedding allowed. Parking: There is no charge for parking. Livestock exhibitors having vehicles that will not be in general use during the fair are requested to park in the parking space designated by the Director in charge or superintendent. Care of Animals: Anyone judged to be cruel to animals will be dismissed from the grounds and any premium monies won to that time will be forfeited along with entry fees. Judges Decision Final: The decision of the judges shall be final in all classes except where mistake, fraud, misrepresentation or collusion, not discovered at the time judging, is proven. In such cases the the show manager or referee or committee as may be appointed, shall either make the decision, or (at his/her discretion) send the case to the executive committee, from whose decision there can be no appeal. Interference or ungentlemanly conduct by an exhibitor may result in disqualification. It is the sole respnsibility of each exhibitor to check the show sheet and report any errors to the Winter Fair Office or the clerk of the show. All animals must be shown as directed by the superintendent or judge. An exhibitor refusing to give required information may be ordered from the ring. Loss: The Montana Winter Fair and the Fergus County Fairgrounds, or its management, will not be responsible for loss of any ariticle, or animal exhibited at the fair, either during the progress of the fair or while entroute to or from the fair, nor will the Montana Winter Fair or the Fergus County Fairgrounds, be responsible for any accident that might occur on the grounds. The Montana Winter Fair and the Fergus County Fairgrounds, will not be responsible for sale animals left on the grounds following the sale. The Montana Winter Fair and the Fergus County Fairgroundns recommends that all livestock and exhibits be insured against loss and public liabiliity. The Montana Winter Fair, the Fergus County Fairgrounds and associate organizations, their officers or persons officially associated with the show will use diligence to assure the safety of the animals and persons. Under no circumstances will they be responsible for any loss, injuruy or damage. Dogs: All dogs on the fairgrounds must be on a leash when not working. No dogs permitted in exhibit buildings, except handicapped companions. Camper/Trailer Hookups: A limited number of camping spaces are available on the grounds. Spaces must be reserved through the Fairgrounds Office by calling 406-538-8841 or toll free 1-800-406-8841. Alcohol: No alcoholic beverage will be allowed unles purchased on the grounds to be consumed in designated areas only. Interpretation of Rules: Montana Winter Fair reserves to the show managers and executive committee the final and absolute right to interpret these rules and regulations and arbitrarily settle and determine all matters, questions or differences in regard thereto, or otherwise arising out of, or incidental to, the Montana Winter Fair. Entry in the show binds enxhibitor to all regulations pertaining thereto. Health, Brand & Import Regulations: All exhibitors are required to familiarize themselves with all the rules governing health, brand, and import regulations. For in-state animals, please contact your local vet for health regulations.
