2011  Montana Winter Fair

A 65-Year Tradition

     Once again a successful Montana Winter Fair has come and gone.  Our change of venue to the Yogo Inn, Eagles Club Hall and Lewistown Art Center as well as the Fergus County Fairgrounds found great support from the community, vendors  and contest entrants.  The Ringling Five put on a fantastic show Friday night to a standing room only crowd, the Snowmobile Drag Races attracted contestants from across the state as did the Fiddler's Contest on Saturday.

Some forty entrants made the O Mok See a success and as usual we had entrants in the Youth Steer and Heifer shows from all around the region.  Vendors in the Trade Show and Stop and Shop came around the region to display and sell products. 

Visitors had the opportunity to watch spinners at work, look over photography from around the area, sample some of the best baked goods around as well as homebrew beer, and enjoy a sample of Dutch Oven cooked items and partake of a chili dinner.  It was a great four days in Lewistown, Montana.

Our thanks go out to the Yogo Inn, Eagles Club, Lewistown Art Center and Fergus County Fairgrounds.  Their cooperation and efforts assured the Winter Fair's success.

We also owe a vote of thanks to the many volunteers who put hours of work into organising and directing the many contests and displays that were available.

Now that this year's event is over, we are beginning plans for a bigger, better event next year.
